President Obama to speak at Worcester high school

President Obama will head to Worcester this June to give the commencement address at an area high school.

Sheila Harrity, Principal at Worcester Technical High School, announced the guest speaker on Thursday morning.

"We are honored that President Obama has chosen to address the graduates of Worcester Technical High School," Harrity told the Worcester Telegram. "As a preeminent leader and advocate for career and technical education, the president's work and commitment to promoting equality of opportunity for all, will inspire the class of 2014."

The event at Worcester Tech will be Obama's only high school graduation speech of 2014.

The big event will take place on June 11 at the DCU Center.
