Seven other cars were damaged when a suspect vehicle crashed and burned in West Philadelphia on Monday night.
Police began pursuing the vehicle, a Lincoln Town Car that matched the description of a vehicle used in a robbery a few months earlier, about 9 p.m. at 53rd and Delancey streets, 6ABC Action News reports.
The brief pursuit ended when the suspect vehicle struck a taxicab, which crashed into two other vehicles. The Town Car's driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree.
The impact caused the car to go into a tailspin and flip over. Two men were ejected from the car before it burst into flames.
Four parked cars were damaged.
Police reportedly found two handguns near the suspects, who are described as in their 20s and in critical condition at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
