MBTA Transit Police arrested a Quincy man for allegedly masturbating to completion on a Red Line train on Jan. 21.
James Cox, 45, faces charges of open and gross lewdness after police say he sat across from a female passenger and masturbated while looking at her as the train traveled near JFK/UMass station.
“Upon completion the male smeared the end result of his act onto the seat next to him and exited at either Andrew Sq. or Broadway MBTA station,” Transit Police said in a blog entry.
A subsequent investigation led police to Cox, who was arraigned in South Boston District Court Friday.
