Revere police are hoping the public can help them identify and find a man who was allegedly involved in stealing a car while a child was still inside of it.

Revere police on Sunday released surveillance images of a person who has been the subject of a manhunt by authorities since last week. He is wanted for taxi fare evasion, larceny of a motor vehicle and kidnapping, police said.

The man in the image was one of two men who were picked up by a taxi in Boston’s South End before 11:20 a.m. on Friday. The men got into a fight with the taxi driver over the fare and fled the cab while it was stopped at the Northgate Shopping Center in Revere.

The men then allegedly stole a car at the shopping center while a 14-year-old boy was still sitting inside of it. They drove the car to Melrose and then fled on foot, police said.

The boy inside the car was not threatened or hurt.
