Two men who were recently arrested for separate robberies were their own worst enemy when they left identifying information behind at the scenes, authorities said.
A woman was robbed of her clutch purse late Monday while walking from the Fields Corner MBTA station, Boston police said. The man who robbed her left behind a pair of bags with clothes, shoes and his birth certificate.
The first incident occurred June 3 when a Chelsea man left behind his debit card while attempting to rob a man who had given him a ride in Mattapan Square. The man had also left behind his hat. After a brief investigation, police arrested the Chelsea man and he was arraigned last week, according to the Suffolk district attorney’s office.
