A Roxbury teen is facing charges of assault and battery for allegedly pummeling an MBTA bus driver Saturday, along with over a dozen accomplices.
Albert Galloway, 18 of Roxbury, was arrested today in connection to what Transit Police are calling a "senseless attack" of a 52-year-old bus operator as he drove along his Dorchester route around 1:15 a.m.
The other suspects are still at large.
Galloway is charged with wrongful interference of a bus, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (a shod food), assault and battery and fare evasion, according to Transit Police.
The attack prompted a local transit worker union to push a new bill that would allow Transit officers to arrest people suspected of assaulting T workers on probable cause.
Currently they can only issue summons.
