Search for Sunil Tripathi includes Boston

The family of a missing Brown University student is asking for help locating him in other nearby major cities including Boston.

Sunil Tripathi was last seen March 16 inside his apartment. Providence and Brown police have been searching for the missing 22-year-old who left behind his wallet, identification and cell phone.

His family started a Facebook page and a Twitter account to gain attention for the search. The page has more than 1,700 likes as of Sunday morning. The family requested help from people in nearby major cities such as Philadelphia, New York and Boston and have received some assistance. A woman posted on the Facebook page that should would post the missing person flyer around Harvard Square and Massachusetts General Hospital.

“Sunil is a kind, gentle, and shy young man. All we want is for him to return safe and well,” his family wrote on the Facebook page.

Family members said they are exteremly worried because he left behind a note that had suicidial intentions. He took a leave off from Brown last year because of depression. Despite that, Tripathi was not turned up.
