A Maine man who identified himself as "Peter Pan" was arraigned Monday on boat theft charges after Massachusetts State Police arrested him for speeding off in a boat from Poorman's Landing.
After receiving a call from the boat's owner, police tracked down its location and ordered the man operating it to stop the vessel.
Fox 25 reports that when troopers asked who the owner of the boat was, Ramsey allegedly stated, "I am."
When asked his name, he allegedly replied, "Peter." When asked his last name, he allegedly replied, "Pan," said Fox.
Derek Ramsey, 26, of Topsham, Maine, was charged with larceny over $250, breaking and entering into a boat, using a boat without authority and furnishing a false name.
He was brought to jail, but due to his bizarre behavior he was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital, where staff indicated they were familiar with him.
