Move those cars, drivers!
It's that time of year when the car shuffle plays out on various city streets. Street sweeping operations begin today in Boston, Cambridge and Somerville.
The cities issued reminders on social media pages for drivers to be aware of the posted signs on their street.
Boston drivers shouldn't cringe when they continue to see those familiar salt trucks coming down the street. The city's public works department has 21 newer models of trucks that can be converted from a salt truck to a street sweeper.
"That means our public works crews are able to quickly convert between spring clean to snow storm mode, as New England weather can dictate," the department said.
Hopefully the sweepers don't have to be converted back to salt trucks - at least not until December.
