Things are going to be OK, DIRECTV subscribers.
The satellite company and Sunbeam Television Corp. announced tonight that they have reached an agreement on fees and will end the blackout of two local stations.
Sunbeam owns WHDH – Channel 7 – and WLVI – Channel 56.
Because the Super Bowl will be broadcast on NBC this year, bars and dish owners were worries they may miss Tom Brady and the rest of the Patriots try to win a fourth Super Bowl.
“We are pleased to have reached an agreement to end the Sunbeam blackout, and regret that any of our customers were forced into the middle of a business dispute where they should never have been in the first place,” DIRECTV said in a statement tonight.
