After being arrested for violating an order of protection, a woman died while in police custody in Brooklyn.
Kyam Livingston, 33, was pronounced dead at Brooklyn Hospital around 7 a.m. Sunday after suffering seizures in Central Booking, police said.
Police arrested Livingston, of Prospect Park South, shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday after she had a verbal dispute with a 79-year-old woman.
Finding her intoxicated, emergency personnel took Livingston to Kings County Hospital where she stayed for several hours. Livingston was then transported to the 70th Precinct for processing and taken to Central Booking to for arraignment at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
After 20 hours in Central Booking, Livingston was taken to another hospital for apparent seizures at 6:40 a.m., police said.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
