A serial bank robber suspected of fleecing two Center City banks and one Holmesburg branch was arrested on Dec. 17, authorities announced today.
William Edwards, 32, of the 4400 block of East Wingohocking Street, was charged with robbing three three banks and related offenses.
A collaboration between the FBI and Philadelphia Police Violent Crimes Task Force, which received information about his whereabouts, arrested Edwards at his home on Dec. 17.
He is charged with robbing the PNC Bank at 1801 Market Street on Dec. 2, the Citizens Bank at 7327 Frankford Avenue on Dec. 9, and the Susquehanna Bank at 1845 Walnut Street on Dec. 13.
