A 23-year-old Boston man was arrested Sunday for allegedly piggybacking into the Tufts Medical Center station and masturbating while chasing a woman, MBTA transit police said.
The incident allegedly happened around 7 p.m. on Oct. 6, when the female victim was waiting to board an Orange Line train. She told transit police she noticed a man sneak into the station by following a paying customer through the fare gates.
The man, later identified as Juan Pena, allegedly approached the victim “with his pants unzippered” and “manipulating himself,” transit police said.
“The female victim screamed and attempted to walk away from the male, however he followed close behind her the entire time masturbating,” transit police said.
The victim reported it to police that day, but nothing came of it – until last night.
Around 8:20 p.m., the victim allegedly saw Pena standing on the platform at Tufts Medical Center station, and called transit police.
Pena was arrested and charged with open and gross conduct, and was due in court sometime Monday.
