A teacher’s aide who worked at a Hyde Park school will appear in court Monday morning after he allegedly hit and inappropriately touched a special needs student.

Timothy Burke, 57, of Roslindale, is due in West Roxbury District Court Monday. He was arrested on Friday after the alleged incident.

Police said officers were called to the Boston Community Leadership Academy at about 12:40 p.m. Friday to investigate an incident. Officers spoke to a witness who said an aide, Burke, struck and inappropriately touched a special needs student, according to police.

Burke was charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon (shod food) and indecent assault and battery on a special needs person.
