Three young people were killed in a single-car crash on Morrissey Boulevard in Dorchester early this morning.
Two men, ages 20 and 19, were pronounced dead at the scene. Firefighters spent nearly 90 minutes trying to free a 19-year-old woman from the car while she was still alive. However, once she was extricated, she was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.
Their names are being withheld pending family notification, officials said.
When fire crews arrived on scene just before 4:30 a.m., the car was on its roof and under an overpass.
Morrissey Boulevard near Neponset Circle was closed while emergency crews worked to free the woman.
The cause is being investigated.
