Too drunk? City will pay for your ride

In addition to the provocative anti-drinking ads you’ll soon see in the subway, the city — along with Sean “Diddy” Combs — will also give out 2,000 $25 debit cards for New Yorkers to get home safely after a night of drinking this holiday season.

If you’re lucky enough to get one of the debit cards, you can use it to pay for a ride home on any of the city’s 13,000-plus taxicabs, plus some livery car services, as well as on subways, PATH, NJ Transit and LIRR.

The city will distribute the cards in the Bronx on Dec. 18, Brooklyn on Dec. 11 and Manhattan on Dec. 31. Exact locations will be announced a few days before each distribution on the city’s drunk-driving awareness site, www.youthemannyc.org.
