An 18-wheel tractor-trailer truck caught fire on the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge Monday morning, causing traffic delays.
Firefighters responded to the scene of the fire on the Manhattan-bound, lower level around 9:45 a.m., containing the flames within a half-hour.
The fire was confined to the cab of the truck. The fire has not been deemed suspicious and is being routinely investigated.
The bridge completely reopened within a few hours.
No injuries were reported.
