A barfight at the Trump SoHo last night resulted in lots of broken glass and at least four people injured, including a model from Texas, police report.
The fight reportedly started with two heavily intoxicated tourists from Canada around 11 p.m. One of the tourists, a 32-year-old male from Toronto, tried to chat up a woman who was in a group of about 10-15 men and women hanging out at the bar.
One of the men in the woman's party apparently took issue with the attempt at conversation and the dispute quickly escalated into fisticuffs, police say. The tourist was punched, kicked and pushed into a wall, cops said, and bottles and glasses were thrown.
The Canadian tourist was treated at Beth Israel Hospital for bruising on his face and a fractured bone in his left eye, cops said.
Police said three women were also injured by glasses and bottles shattering on the floor and flying up. A 26-year-old Murray Hill woman had a gash on the right side of her head, and a 19-year-old who lives in the Financial District had cuts on the right side of her forehead, nose and eye.
The third victim was a 21-year-old model from Texas represented by the modeling agency Supreme. She had a cut on her left arm, police said.
The agency declined to comment.
The tourist declined to assist in the investigation, police said.
