Police arrested two brothers suspected in last month's deadly beating of a homeless man who was asleep in front of a Bronx church.
The victim, 41-year-old Miguel Dircio, was sleeping on the steps of St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church in University Heights on June 16 when investigators said three suspects approached the man as he laid in front of the church.
Surveillance video showed one of the three men walking out of the camera's frame when one of the assailants is seen kicking Dircio in his head. The second remaining suspect proceeds to stomp on the victim before walking away.
Shortly after, the first attacker comes back and lands another kick, leaving Dircio gravely injured.
He succumbed to his injuries nine days later after being hospitalized at Saint Barnabas Hospital.
On Tuesday, police said they tracked down two male suspects in connection to the beating.
Angel Monegro, 17, and Noel Martinez, 24, were both charged and arrested with manslaughter.
