Two Brooklyn libraries may close

Two Brooklyn public libraries may close, the Daily News reported.

The Brooklyn Heights library on Cadman Plaza West may sell next year, while the Pacific Branch on 4th Avenue in Boerum Hill would go in 2016.

The Brooklyn Heights library would remain on the ground floor of its current location, condensing the space from 60,000 to 16,000 square feet, while the floors above would be developed as residential apartments.

The Pacific Branch would move to the Brooklyn Cultural District. The City Council has yet to approve the plan.
