Two men were injured between Friday night and early Saturday morning during a stabbing in Point Breeze and an unrelated shooting in West Philadelphia.
Police said a man, 47, was shortly before 11 p.m. Friday stabbed once in the lower back inside a home on the 1800 block of Tasker Street in Point Breeze.
He was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was in critical condition Sunday.
About an hour later in an unrelated incident, a 47-year-old man was shot once in the right arm on the 600 block of North 37th Street in the Mantua section of West Philadelphia.
Police said he was hospitalized in stable condition at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
No arrests were made in connection with either crime.
