Two men were killed in separate shootings that happened about 10 minutes apart in North Philadelphia and Kensington on Monday night.
A 22-year-old man died after he was shot multiple times about 9 p.m. on the 600 block of Franklin Place in North Philadelphia, just west of the Northern Liberties neighborhood, NBC10 reports. The victim was rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds to his back.
Police found at least 15 shell casings from two guns at the scene, according to the report.
The second round of deadly gunfire happened just after 9 p.m. on the 3300 block of Amber Street in the city's Kensington section. A 35-year-old man was shot once in the chest, and died at Temple University Hospital about 30 minutes later.
