Two men sought in Central Park mugging

A Brooklyn man and his friend visiting from out of town were robbed at gunpoint in Central Park in the early hours of Saturday, police said.

The victims were ambushed by two men around 12:30 a.m. as they walked on West Drive near West 64th Street.

One of the thieves pulled a gun and threatened to shoot while the other demandedmoney.They made off with a passport, a cellphone, a leather briefcase, assorted credit and debit cards, and $114 in cash, police said.

No arrests have been made but the NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the muggers.

The armed man is described as black, in his early 20’s, about six feet tall and slim, wearing a dark green winter coat and jeans.His accomplice is described as Hispanic, in his late 20’s, five-foot-six with a medium build, with long black hair in a ponytail and wearing a sweatshirt and jeans.
