A Bridgewater man was killed Saturday after being struck by a commuter rail in Brockton, according to transit police.
Authorities responded to Brockton Commuter Rail station around 11:15 p.m. after a report of a person possibly struck.
Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz says the man was identified as 39-year-old Danny M. Rivard. He was declared dead at the scene.
Transit police said he was allegedly trespassing on the right of way just outside Brockton Center.
Transit Police detectives and representatives of the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office are investigating the facts and circumstances leading to the incident.
