Transit Police are searching for a suspect after a man was stabbed in the chest at Ruggles MBTA Station Wednesday night.
Initial reports suggested that the victim was a woman, however Transit Police have since said the victim was a 40-year-old man. He was stabbed on the street outside the station, near 249 Ruggles Street, around 5:35 p.m., according to Boston Police. EMS treated him at the scene around 5:47 p.m. before taking him to Brigham and Women's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
He is expected to survive.
Transit Police took over the investigation last night, and provided no description of the suspect. However, anyone with information is urged to contact MBTA authorities: 617-222-1050.
