UPDATE, 9:12 a.m.: Police have identified the motorcyclist killed in a Germantown collision early Tuesday as Andre Hart, 39, of the 1800 block of West Tioga Street.

The accident occurred about 12:18 a.m. Hart was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hart was traveling west on Roberts Avenue when he attempted to make a left turn onto Pulaski Avenue. A Nissan Maxima was approaching eastbound on Roberts at a high rate of speed at the same time, according to police, and struck Hart after he went down on his motorcycle in the intersection.

No charges had been filed in the fatal incident as of about 9 a.m. Tuesday.

A motorcyclist died from injuries sustained in a collision with a car in Philadelphia’s Germantown section early Tuesday.

The accident occurred just after midnight at Pulaski and Roberts avenues, 6ABC Action News reports.

It was not immediately clear how the motorcycle and car collided with each other. The car’s driver stopped at the scene.
