Police have identified the victim of Saturday's accidental shooting tragedy in West Philadelphia as Jamara Stevens, the Inquirer reported.
The 11-year-old girl was killed Saturday by a bullet fired from a .357 Magnum that her 2-year-old brother was reportedly playing with.
The accidental shooting occurred on the 3800 block of Wallace Street in Mantua early Saturday, ABC reported.
According to reports, four children, aged 14, 11, 7 and 2 were in the house when the fatal accident occurred.
An unknown male reportedly left the loaded gun on top of a refrigerator in the house, but at some point the gun was removed and brought to the master bedroom by one of the children.
The 2-year-old somehow picked up the weapon and fired it at his sister. The bullet reportedly hit the girl in the arm, went through her arm, and went into her chest.
The 11-year-old victim was reportedly brought to Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania where she was pronounced dead.
