A 27-year-old woman was attacked near Westchester Avenue in the Bronx early Sunday morning, police reported. [videoembed id=126808]
The suspect, described as a Hispanic male in his late 20s, came at the victim from behind and shoved her to the ground about 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
He punched her in the face repeatedly and sexually assaulted her before running away.
Police reported that the victim suffered bruising and contusions.
Cops say the man was about 5 foot 5 inches tall and thin, wearing a ski mask, gray jacket and white sneakers. They have provided a surveillance video showing the suspect without a ski mask, and are requesting the public's assistance in catching him.
