Authorities are looking for three suspects caught on video assaulting and robbing a woman in the Bronx.
Police released surveillance tape on Wednesday from Aug. 18 that showed three unnamed male suspects, at least one of them in his late teens, come up to the victim from behind on East 170th Street.
The victim, a 25-years-old woman, was walking in the Mount Eden neighborhood at around 4 a.m. when the suspects surround her, one of then confronting her while the other two closed their fists as they began to beat on her body and face.
One of the suspects grabbed the woman’s cell phone while the other two tried to get away with her purse, albeit unsuccessfully.
The trio escaped on foot, running east on 170th Street to parts unknown, police said.
The suspect who got away with the cell phone is described as a black male in his late teens. He is approximately 5-feet-7-inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt.
His two fellow suspects were only described as black males wearing dark clothing.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS or to submit tips online.
