Philadelphia police are looking for a suspect who was caught on camera Tuesday pepper spraying an 82-year-old man during a brutal robbery near the SEPTA Frankford Transportation Center.
Investigators said the victim was shortly before 10 a.m. walking on the 5100 block of Griscom Street when, as he neared Dyre Street, he was approached by an unknown man.
The suspect allegedly sprayed the victim in the face with Mace, then punched him until he fell to the ground.
Police said after taking the victim's money, the suspect walked east on a SEPTA access road toward the 5100 block of Frankford Avenue, leaving the 82-year-old man lying on the ground next to a car.
The suspect is described as a 5-foot-9 to 6-foot-tall black male aged 30 to 40 and weighing about 250 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
