Philadelphia police have released video of a brutal assault in Kensington earlier this month.
Investigators said the suspect got off the Route 60 bus at Front Street and Allegheny Avenue around 6 a.m. on May 2 and began following a 51-year-old man.
When the victim called police on his cell, the suspect overheard his conversation and allegedly hit him in the face with a handgun.
The gunman fled north on Hope Street toward Westmoreland Street, according to police.
Surveillance video also captured the suspect on May 1 getting off the Route 60 bus at F Street and Allegheny Avenue shortly before 6 a.m.
He is known to frequent the area.
The suspect is described as a 175-pound, five-foot-ten-inch tall black male between the ages of 40 and 50 with a medium build and a scruffy beard.
He was last seen wearing a dark-colored Yankees baseball cap, a dark-colored jacket and blue jeans.
