VIDEO: Man steals Philly Water Department vehicle from Fishtown block

Police are looking for a man caught on camera Aug. 13 stealing a Philadelphia Water Department vehicle as it was parked on Frankford Avenue in Fishtown.

Police on Wednesday released surveillance footage showing a man stealing a Philadelphia Water Department vehicle Aug. 13 as it was parked on the 1400 block of Frankford Avenue in Fishtown.

Investigators said the unknown man was caught on camera around 1:30 p.m. getting into the driver's seat of the white, city-owned Ford Explorer and speeding away.

The SUV was found abandoned about two hours laterat Broad and Thompson streets in North Philadelphia.

The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 30 and 32 with a goatee and close-cut hair.He was last seen wearing a dark-colored shirt and light-colored pants.
