In all, an insane evening that I never thought I would ever see in my lifetime—the members of Nirvana reforming to play their old favorites. It was all a big, whiskey-soaked dream. S-- this cool doesn't happen in real life, does it?
A commenter on a video of the "Smell's Like Teen Spirit" performance at the show was bittersweet about the surprise:
This is the way Nirvana's music is supposed to be: in a niche little bar with a bunch of people loving it. I could not have cared less about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and all of their bulls---- but I really do feel like I missed out on this glorious moment in history.
Earlier, Jett, Gordon and Clark joined the band for a set at the induction concert for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which Nirvana is now a member of.
