Philadelphia police are seeking the public's help identifying the man who shot an Olney resident during a home invasion earlier this week.
The home invasion and shooting happened about 6:10 a.m. Monday at the apartment building on the 6000 block of Crescentville Road. Police posted video of the suspect arriving to and leaving the victim's apartment to YouTube on Thursday.
The suspect was driving a large, two-door, gold or brown sedan, possibly a Buick, according to police, who described him as a black male with a medium build and about 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was wearing a black beanie and a dark hoodie, police said.
Police allege the suspect forced his way into the apartment when someone answered the back door, made his way to a back bedroom and pointed a handgun at the victim's head. A struggle ensued between the victim and suspect, who shot the victim twice in the chest.
The victim was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center in critical but stable condition.
Police urge anyone with information about the crime to call the Northwest Detectives Division at 215-686-3353/3354.
