VIDEO: Police seek suspects in gunpoint robbery spree

Police released surveillance video showing two men suspected of a series of armed robberies and one sexual assault on Lehigh Avenue in North Philadelphia.

Police on Monday released surveillance video of two men suspected of robbing multiple people at gunpoint in North Philadelphia last month.

Investigators said a series of armed robberies were committed between July 19 and July 30.

Each robbery occurred in the early morning hours along Lehigh Avenue between 22nd and 29th streets, and the same two armed men believed to be responsible for each incident.

Police said the men demanded money, cell phones and debit cards from victims.

During one of the robberies, the suspects allegedly sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl.

Authorities said the men were captured on multiple area surveillance cameras.

One suspect is described as a 5-foot-10 inch to 6-foot-2 inch tall black male between the ages of 25 and 35 with short hair.

The second suspect is described as a 5-foot-6 inch tall black male between the ages of 30 and 40 with a bald head and full beard.

Both men are known to carry black semiautomatic handguns.
