Santa Claus and his elves got some serious hang time over Quincy last weekend when they jumped out of a plane and parachuted into the city for the annual Christmas celebration.[videoembed id=263136]
A helmet camera captured the Nov. 30 event from takeoff at Norwood Airport to jumping out of the plane and landing. Video of the event, which includes some great ariel views of Quincy, was recently posted on YouTube.
The landing took place at Pageant Field, where hundreds of people cheered the arrival of Santa and his helpers.
The city’s annual Christmas celebration includes the Sunday parade and the Turning on the Lights event.
