You may have noticed that Saturday was May 4 ("May the fourth be with you" – get it?) which has become an unofficial observance in Star Wars fandom.
In honor of the geeky holiday, local independent publisher Quirk Books, together with members of the Drexel University chapter of improv group Urban Playground and Drexel light saber performance troupe Dragon Jedi, on Saturday held a "William Shakespeare Star Wars flash mob" on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Performers armed with "weaponized baguettes" and accompanied by an inflatable R2D2 re-enacted three scenes from Quirk Books' upcoming "William Shakespeare's Star Wars," slated to be released July 2.
