Police are searching for a suspect who punched a 35-year-old man inside a Manhattan subway station and then ran off with his iPhone early Monday morning, cops said.
The NYPD released a video of the incident that occurred inside the Times Square-42nd Street subway station about 12:02 a.m. The suspect is seen talking to the victim near the turnstiles, looking around in multiple directions and then punching the victim to the ground. [videoembed id=125956]
The suspect then stole the man’s iPhone and headed toward the northbound 1 train platform, police said.
He is described as a black male, approximately 30 years old and 6 feet 3 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black or dark gray pants.
