VIDEO: Suspect punches subway rider in Queens

Police are searching for a man who punched an unidentified victim on a Queens-bound 7 train last week.

The suspect punched the passenger about 1 a.m. on May 5 before exiting the train at the 69th Street station, cops said. The man is caught on video as he stands in the middle of the car and swings his arm to punch his victim, who is sitting down. [videoembed id=149420]

A witness recorded the assault on a cell phone and shared it with the Central Robbery Queens Transit Squad. The victim of the assault did not report the crime. Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect and locating the victim.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, about 5-foot-9, 180 pounds, with brown eyes and long black hair worn in a ponytail. He was last seen wearing a dark T-shirt and blue jeans.
