VIDEO: Suspect sought in North End sexual assault

The Boston Police Department released a video of a man who may be connected to the sexual assault that occurred in the North End on March 16.

In the video, a man wearing a black coat and blue jeans is seen loitering in the Salem Street area.

As Metro previously reported, Boston police said the victim told officers she was walking into the foyer of her building near Salem and Hull streets about 10:30 p.m. when a man approached her from behind and indecently assaulted her. She said the man then took off toward Commercial Street.

Shortly after the assault, police described the suspect as a white man in his 30s, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, weighing about 200 pounds with short brown or light brown hair. He was wearing a dark colored coat with a zipper and dark colored jeans.

Anyone who may recognize the man in the video is asked to contact Boston Police.
