A masked man armed with a handgun confronted an employee of a Wilmington restaurant at a rear dumpster, state police said today.
Around 10 p.m. Wednesday the attacker approached the worker at La Salsa, at 624 South Maryland Avenue in Wilmington, at the dumpster parked in the rear of the restaurant. The thief flashed his handgun and forced the employee back inside the restaurant, which was closed.
The employee, along with two others inside, were forced to open and then empty the cash register.
The attacker, who is described as standing about 5'9" tall with an average build, fled after grabbing the cash.
