A woman and four children had a scare when they got lost while visiting Pawtuckaway State Park in Nottingham, N.H., according to authorities.
The group had gone hiking on a trail, but were unfamiliar with their surroundings and deviated from the suggested area.
"They had wandered off the trail," Nottingham Fire Chief Jaye Vilchock told WCVB. "They didn't know where they were. We found them using 911 coordinates, topographical maps and GPS."
Four specialized groups headed out to search for the missing campers, who were discovered about a half-mile from the trail around 9:30 pm, authorities told WCVB.
The woman and children were treated on the scene and returned home safely.
Pawtuckaway State Park is popular with campers, hikers and outdoor enthusiasts.
