Authorities said that a Queens woman behind an attempted kidnapping of an 8-month-old boy was arrested on Saturday.

Police said that Tara Anne McDonald, 46, was picked up in Manhattan along West 49th Street on Friday after two transit officers recognized the suspect.

She faces charges for attempted kidnapping and acting in a manner injurious to a child under 17.

McDonald, who the New York Times reported has previously been arrested seven times for either kidnapping or attempted kidnapping, was taken to Bellevue Hospital for evaluation.

Last week, police said they chased McDonald down Eight Avenue after she tried to grab a baby boy from his nanny in Chelsea.

The nanny, Melody Cada, told investigators that the suspect came up from behind at around 5:30 p.m. before she tried to grab the stroller.

A UPS worker and an unidentified German man with his family fought McDonald off before she evaded police last week, Cada said.
