An elementary school in Norton was put on lockdown Thursday morning when a woman – who apparently needed some relief – tried to get in through multiple doors.

The J. C. Solmonese Elementary School was put in lockdown before 11:30 a.m. when a suspicious woman tried to get into the building, police said.

Officers arrived at the school and found the woman who said she needed to use the bathroom. She tried several doors to get in, police said.

“The school did a good job with the proper procedure and notification to prevent admittance to the school,” Norton police said.

The woman was deemed not to be a threat and was told that charges may be filed because of trespassing.
