The security director of One World Trade Center has resigned after a series of embarrassing breaches were revealed in recent weeks.

David Velazquez, the former director of the FBI field office in Newark, resigned his post last week amid media coverage of the arrests of four BASE jumpers who leaped from the the skyscraper’s 104th floor and a teenage boyfrom New Jersey who evaded security long enough to reach the top and snap pictures.

Less than a week later, a security guard was photographed sleeping while alone on duty in the lobby and told the New York Post that he had troubles with his vision, being unable to open one eye.

The Post was also the first to report Velasquez’s resignation on Friday.
