Half a dozen people were in critical condition on Monday afternoon after a charter bus overturned on a snowy Connecticut highway, according to published reports.

The crash occurred at about 12:30 p.m. near exit 61 on the northbound side of the I-95 as the bus made its way from New York City to the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut, according to the New York Daily News.

Images from the scene show the bus flipped on its side, close to perpendicular to the road, PIX 11 reported. A total of 55 passengers were on board the tour bus when the crash happened and Yale-New Haven Hospital employees were told to expect 30 patients – including six with severe injuries.

None of the injuries are expected to be life threatening, the Daily News reported, and it is no yet clear what caused the crash.
