Half a dozen people were in critical condition on Monday afternoon after a charter bus overturned on a snowy Connecticut highway, according to published reports.
The crash occurred at about 12:30 p.m. near exit 61 on the northbound side of the I-95 as the bus made its way from New York City to the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut, according to the New York Daily News. A total of 55 passengers were on board the tour bus when the crash happened and Yale-New Haven Hospital employees were told to expect 30 patients – including six with severe injuries. None of the injuries are expected to be life threatening, the Daily News reported, and it is no yet clear what caused the crash.
