Thousands took to the streets Wednesday night in Manhattan. Traffic was unbelievably disrupted due to the massive number of people who took to the streets to express their anger, disbelief and in some cases, fear. Protests started in various locations like Union Square and Columbus Circleculminatingas many groups merged into one mass outside Trump Tower. Metro reporter Amanda Mikelbergtold us that people were climbing on scaffolding, street lights and signs as women screamed “my body, my choice,” with men mirroring the chant.
Reports are flying through the internet and one unofficial account, @NYCAlerts, said police requested arrest wagons and have arrested many protesters.
