Emergency officers rushed to Flushing Bay early Sunday afternoon after 911 calls came in of a boat capsizing near the College Point Marina.
RELATED: FDNY responds to small boat engine fire off Pier 11 The Fire Department told Metro emergency personnel were still at the scene after the call came in at around 1:40 p.m.
An FDNY spokesman said 19 people were rescued after their row boat flipped over.
The New York Daily News reported that the rowers were in a traditional Chinesedragon boat and members of a competitive team.
Officials confirmed no one was injured.
