Next time you raise a glass to freedom, it can be filled with a “Hamilton”-inspired beer.

The Happy Hour Guys, beer-loving Broadway actors James Ludwig and Mark Aldrich, came up with the idea to bring their two passions together last year, according to All About Beer. And this weekend, the Bronx’s Gun Hill Brewing Co. is making it happen with Rise Up Rye, a saison-style brew heavy on the major Colonial-era crop. The brewery itself has Revolutionary-era ties — it’s named for a skirmish over a key supply route that the Colonists won by firing a cannon at British forces.

The name comes from the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical’s anthem, “My Shot,” and three cast members, including star Lin-Manuel Miranda’s alternate Javier Muñoz, helped brew it. The beer will be available on tap and in bottles at bars around the city beginning this Sunday. A percentage of profits will be donated to The Eliza Project, a youth performing arts project run by Graham Windham, the orphanage established by Hamilton’s wife.
