Bronx man killed while holding baby daughter

Police continue to search for the suspect who gunned down a Bronx man holding his one-year-old daughter near aParkchester playground on Tuesday afternoon.

Allen McQueen, 21, died after being shot in the back on Taylor Avenue just after 1 p.m. on Tuesday. The suspect fired three rounds at McQueen, who was later pronounced dead at Jacobi Hospital.

The baby was taken to the hospital for observation after sustaining a bump on her head when she fell to the ground.

Police said the suspect fled the shooting scene in a gray Mercedes with New York license plates. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS or submit their tip online.

The Daily News reported that the shooting happened across the street from a playground packed with children, and the baby was covered in blood when scooped up by a concerned neighbor.

Police said McQueen ran with a local gang called the Taylor Crew.
